Hedgehogs’ natural immunity comes from the erinacin in their muscular system.
Hedgehogs have a slight resistance to snake bites and the venom that comes with it. If a hedgehog is bit in the feet or the paws, then probably nothing will happen. However, they’re not completely immune, because if they’re bit in the face or the leg, they will still become very ill or die.
